With the weather getting hot we are spending most of our time in the mornings outside. We bought a huge umbrella with a base to shade our patio that isn’t covered. We spend a lot of time in our sandbox with our awesome toys! We are thinking about getting some cool tractors to play in there too because we have construction going on behind our house and they’re very excited about them lol.

When it gets too hot and we need to take a break we are spending a lot of time using our Tonie Box. I got it originally with the princess bundle for my daughter’s third birthday and it didn’t get much use until the past few months (she is about to turn four.) If I were to get it today I would get the Pixar bundle because they’re obsessed with all things Pixar lately. It pretty much runs all day long, which is awesome now that I’ve got a newborn lol. I had to get a storage box for all of our Tonies. Anyway I got them quite a few Tonies that we are loving lately which are: Woody, Lighting McQueen, Mater, and Minions. We are eyeballing Merida, Shrek, Trolls, and Ratatouille.

Another thing that we’ve been really into are these paint/dot pens, which have been giving me some quiet time, although I do have to supervise because they are getting a little color happy with my walls. We’ve also started reading chapter books and my daughter is OBSESSED with them. I like to read them out loud while they are playing nice and quietly. Sometimes we snuggle up on the couch and of course we read them before naps and bedtime. We have like 24 of the Sophie Mouse books, I bought some Junie B. Jones to try because those were my favorite growing up. We read the first four Magic Treehouse Books and I am looking at this new set about animals.
